Abstract
Permit to work is a mandatory document before certain work is carried out and is part of OSH risk control administratively which aims to control all work that can cause OHS hazards and losses. This research was conducted at PT. X in Batam City which aims to analyze the implementation of Permit to work based on the regulations of Law No.1 of 1970 concerning Work Safety and PP No. 50 of 2012 concerning the Occupational Health and Safety Management System at PT. X. This type of research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The variables in this study are the preparation, process and closing stages. The results showed that the Permit to work procedure as a whole was in accordance with the regulations. However, there were still discrepancies in the preparation stage, namely the isolation of equipment in the LOTO installation system and gas testing carried out by the safety officer who had never received special training. At the closing stage, there is still an incorrect return of the permit to work form. The conclusion is that the implementation of permit to work at PT. X is already running well but needs improvement and supervision to make it better. It is advisable to provide special training on the LOTO system to workers and special training for gas testing to safety officers.
